AeroPress for 2...

This AeroPress recipe shares how to make two delicious filter-style coffees with your Aeropress at the same time.

Purists will tell you that you'll get better results brewing two cups separately and there may well be a small benefit in doing that. But if you want to be able to wake up in the morning and quickly brew some coffee for yourself and a loved one, this recipe should prove a lot more convenient without much compromise on the flavour!

Coffee:

37g
Medium
Something light-medium roast

Water:

93°C / 199°F
430mL
  1. Boil your water, prepare for at least 500ml to be safe.
  2. Wet your filter, add your coffee to the inverted chamber.
  3. When you water cools to 93c, start the bloom.
  4. By 0:30, have the aeropress filled near to the top and then thoroughly stir for 10-15 seconds.
  5. Put the cap on.
  6. When your clock hits 2:00, flip and plunge slowly for 30-45 seconds
  7. Once complete, dilute your brew with additional water - up to about 430ml for 2 nice cups of coffee!
